Terraced paddy fields: Green canvas in Iran's Vatan Village

The abundant terraced paddy fields provide a green nature in Vatan Village of Golestan Province, northeastern Iran.  

Nestled in Cheshmeh Saran District, Azadshahr County, Vatan is surrounded by green mountains and dense forest.

The occupation of the locals is mostly rice farming where 1,000 hectares of the farms are under black-tail rice cultivation.

Water of springs and rivers along with warm days and cool nights of the village has provided the highest quality rice.
